If the presidential election was held in early October, Iliana Iotova and Kiril Valchev would receive 46.9% of the vote, while Andrey Gurov and Georgi Kandev would receive 25.3%, according to a survey by Myara, the polling agency said on Monday.
The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews and an online questionnaire between September 26 and October 4 among 1,000 Bulgarian adults. The maximum stochastic error is ±3.1 percentage points at a 50% share. One percent of the total sample, rather than of voters, corresponds to nearly 53,000 people.
Kostadin Kostadinov and Petar Volgin would receive 8.8% of the vote, followed by Ivelin Mihaylov and Yuliana Mateeva with 4.2%, Ivan Hristanov and Stoyanka Cherkezova with 2.7%, and Radostin Vasilev and Krasimir Manov with 2.2%.
Among the other candidates, Georgi Dimov, Ivaylo Simeonov and Rosen Milenov currently stand at around 1%. The “I do not support anyone” option would be chosen by 2.3% of respondents.
Based on respondents’ declarations, expected voter turnout is 35.4%.
Myara highlighted that the figures are not a forecast of the election result but a snapshot of current electoral attitudes. One percent of the total sample, rather than of voters, corresponds to nearly 53,000 people.
