Patrick Clancy’s current wife joined his exclusive interview with 60 Minutes in a new clip revealed on Friday, telling the storied news program that she didn’t understand “how the story’s been so twisted.”

In a 31-second teaser clip released early Friday, Dr. Rachel Danis is seated next to Clancy as she speaks.

“I don’t understand how the story’s been so twisted, but I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless partner and most supportive partner and I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” she said.

“And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”

The network has been dribbling out snippets of the juicy exclusive.

On Thursday, it teased part of Patrick Clancy’s remarks to correspondent Ross Douthat, in which he says he talks to his three children — slain at the hands of their mom, Clancy’s former wife, Lindsay — “all the time.”

“What do you say?” Douthat asks in the clip.

“Help me,” Clancy answers.

Lindsay Clancy, 36, admitted in a civil proceeding to killing her three young kids with Patrick —  Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan — with an exercise band in the basement of their home.

She later pleaded not guilty in a criminal case, claiming postpartum psychosis. A single juror on the panel of nine women and three men refused to find Lindsay Clancy not guilty.

Patrick Clancy’s first interview since Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial in Massachusetts is the second big exclusive story that 60 Minutes has landed under the controversial tenure of Bari Weiss and Nick Bilton.

Ratings for the Sept. 13 season premiere were down significantly, despite correspondent Norah O’Donnell scoring an interview with a U.S. Air Force Member who survived behind enemy lines after he was shot down over Iran earlier this year.

The season opener drew an estimated 7.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen data, making it the least-watched 60 Minutes premiere since 2000.

That’s a 21% plunge from the year prior, with the younger demographic also showing a significant drop of 33%, according to Nielsen data.

Weiss’ tenure so far has been divisive, with the high-profile exits of longtime correspondents Scott Pelley and Sharyn Alfonsi amid allegations that Weiss has interfered with the operation’s newsgathering.
