Balgarianovinite.com BG Radio will host a concert marking 25 years of its Only Bulgarian Music initiative, the station’s team said on Tuesday. The concert will take place on June 12, 2026, in the square in front of St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia.
Organizers said the concert is meant to showcase the strength of Bulgarian music nationwide, in an evening in which a media outlet not only marks its own history but also highlights its role in shaping modern Bulgarian music culture. They said BG Radio has spent the past 25 years setting the tone, giving Bulgarian artists a stage and cementing its status as a leading platform for contemporary Bulgarian music. Its impact extends beyond broadcasting, they added, visible in industry trends, the momentum behind new projects, and the listening habits of generations for whom Bulgarian music is a natural part of their identity and future.
“This year, the team is putting all its energy into a large-scale concert show, bringing the most beloved songs together with their audience in a venue worthy of BG Radio’s history,” said BG Radio Director General Nikolay Yanchovichin.
The concert’s creative director is Marvin Dietmann, who has worked for years on the Annual BG Radio Music Awards and on international productions such as the Eurovision Song Contest. Dietmann has also collaborated with artists including Madonna and Robbie Williams. Working with BG Radio and an international team, he is developing a stage concept with a modern aesthetic, a strong technological component and production standards aligned with top global levels, the station’s team said.
