Chris Harrison is back, without the roses.
The former longtime host of The Bachelor has returned from TV exile to help people find love on camera, with Fox Nation releasing a teaser clip on Wednesday of The Vow, the new dating show he will host starting in November. And Harrison used it as an opportunity to take a not-so-subtle shot at his old program.
With the camera zoomed in on a man making sure his black and white tuxedo looks just right, the guy grabs a rose — which Bachelor fans will recognize as the symbol contestants received to move forward in the show — and chucks it to the ground. The petals dramatically fall off as the flower crashes into the ground in slow motion.
The camera then pans back to reveal Harrison is back and ready to host.
“Expecting someone else?” he says directly into the camera. “Roses fade. True love last forever.”
The commercial closes with Harrison debating stepping on the rose, before ultimately taking the classy route and stepping over it.
His comeback comes five years after Harrison said he was “stepping aside” from hosting The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, following a controversy over him defending a contestant who had attended an “Old South”-themed party at a plantation.
Harrison said those slamming contestant Rachael Kirkconnell for it needed to have “a little grace, a little understanding, a little compassion… this judge, jury, executioner thing where people are just tearing this girl’s life apart [is wrong].”
He also called out the “woke police” for going after Kirkconnell. The critics then turned on Harrison, and even after he walked back his claim, saying it was “unacceptable” to use the term “woke police,” he was essentially forced to quit the hit ABC show he had hosted since it launched in 2002.
That’s all behind him now, with Fox Nation describing The Vow:
Across six episodes, one eligible bachelor, 30-year-old Jace Cates, embarks on a relationship journey with ten women, each seeking lasting commitment and marriage.
Through curated dates and real-world compatibility challenges, Chris Harrison’s The Vow explores whether shared values, faith, communication, and long-term goals can build a relationship designed to last long after the cameras stop rolling. At a time when much of modern dating culture is driven by fleeting connections and social media attention, the series offers a different approach by placing the focus on meaningful relationships, commitment and building a life together.
“I’m so excited to be back helping people find love, and Fox Nation has been an incredible partner in bringing this vision to life,” Harrison said in a statement. “We were inspired by the faith-driven renaissance happening across America, and as a result, I believe we’ve created the most authentic dating show on television today.”

He continued, “At a time when so many people feel dating has become harder than ever, The Vow asks a simple but important question: Can genuine, lasting love still be found in the modern world? The stakes couldn’t be higher. I’m incredibly proud and honored to put my name on this show.”
Harrison is listed as an executive producer alongside Lauren
The first two episodes of The Vow will premiere on Fox Nation on Nov. 11.
