Balgarianovinite.com Vazrazhdane leader and Floor Leader Kostadin Kostadinov said in a video message posted on his Facebook profile to mark the 141st anniversary of Bulgaria’s Unification: “Let’s be worthy of those who carried out the Unification in 1885. Let’s preserve our unity, national dignity and aspiration for a free, strong and independent Bulgaria.”
“The Unification is one of the finest moments in Bulgarian history. September 6, 1885 gave the Bulgarian people the confidence that comes from a victory won on their own. But on a day like today, we should remember that one of the best qualities and skills a person can have is the ability to exercise control, balance and moderation. If you overestimate yourself, you will inevitably learn a lesson. We should remember what we can achieve when we are united and have a common goal, but also know when and where to restrain our passions, emotions and shortcomings, because if we do not, our enemies will do it for us,” Kostadinov said.
“The past cannot be changed, but the future is entirely in our hands. Let us resolve today to shape our own history, to win future battles together, both external and internal, and to make our children proud of us, just as we are proud of our ancestors who carried out the Unification,” Kostadinov said.
