Bulgarian voters in Belgium on Sunday can cast their ballots at 16 polling stations. Until noon, voting proceeded calmly, with noticeably lower turnout compared to the parliamentary elections in April.
In today’s presidential and vice-presidential election, there are twice as many voting machines available as there were six months ago. The revised requirement for voters who have not previously declared their intention to vote to fill out and sign declarations in front of the polling station committees has not caused any lines or difficulties at Bulgaria’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels.
Voting machines are also available in the Brussels districts of Etterbeek and Schaerbeek, in Antwerp and Ghent, and at the two polling stations in Luxembourg. A total of 18 polling stations are operating in Belgium and Luxembourg, one less than in the last parliamentary elections.
