Balgarianovinite.com Actor and director Iossif Sarchadzhiev passed away Wednesday, his daughter Ana Sarchadzhieva told BTA.
The funeral service was held Thursday, attended only by a small circle of people, at the actor’s request, who wanted to be remembered not for his passing, but for his presence in Bulgarian cultural life.
That is what our life is like. To face death with love and to journey to the beyond, which is the most beautiful thing. The beyond. Fear not! There is nothing to fear. And this is not what makes it sad. What is sad is reality. But beauty transcends reality. Those were Sarchadzhiev’s words to BTA during the premiere of his film January (2023).
