The International Photography Meetings will open on October 16 at Balabanov House in Plovdiv, the organizers said on Tuesday. This year’s theme, “Memory and Identity,” explores the relationship between personal stories, collective memory and historical change. Five artists from Bulgaria, Serbia, the Netherlands, Iran and Hungary will exhibit their work at galleries and cultural venues across the city.
The programme will include exhibition tours, presentations, discussions and book launches at Ivan Vazov National Library.
The festival is supported by Plovdiv Municipality and is part of the city’s 2026 Cultural Calendar.
