Prime Minister Rumen Radev said Friday he wanted to see more processing plants in Bulgaria and a shift away from exporting mainly raw agricultural products such as grain and sunflower. Speaking at the opening of new production facilities for sunflower processing, sunflower oil and sunflower meal at a plant in Dobrich’s Riltsi district, he said Bulgaria should increasingly export finished, value-added products so that more of the economic benefit remained in the country.
Radev stressed the importance of developing Bulgarian agriculture and the food-processing industry.
