The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) launches its new Festive Bulgaria section on Saturday, September 27, World Tourism Day.
The new section will bring together BTA’s text, photo and video coverage of festivals held across Bulgaria. It is being launched in BTA’s Bulgarian-language news service and will soon also be available in English.
Festival events will be presented in a calendar and will also be searchable by region, making it easier to follow festivals taking place across the country.
The idea for the new section was announced in July during the presentation of that month’s issue of BTA’s LIK magazine, dedicated to Stage of the Ages, Bulgaria’s longest-running open-air opera and ballet festival.
As part of the initiative, BTA plans to hold discussions on festival tourism in Bulgaria at all 33 of its national press clubs across the country. The Agency has press clubs in the regional capitals as well as in Gotse Delchev, Kazanlak, Panagyurishte, Samokov and Troyan.
BTA correspondents and reporters cover festivals throughout Bulgaria, with their reporting now to be brought together in the new Festive Bulgaria section.
