Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev and British writer and historian Prof. Bettany Hughes discussed promoting Bulgaria’s historical heritage through new documentaries, the Council of Ministers said in a press release on Monday. The meeting took place at the Council of Ministers, with Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov also attending.
The discussion focused on the rich historical heritage of Bulgarian lands and ways to showcase it to international audiences.
Bulgaria has many more fascinating sites and historical figures to present to the world, so that people can learn more about the country’s important role in the development of European civilization, Radev said, as quoted in the statement.
Prof. Hughes is the author of two documentaries dedicated to Bulgaria’s cultural and historical heritage: Treasures of Bulgaria and Bulgaria: Land of Roses. Both have been broadcast on specialized television channels around the world, the Council of Ministers said.
