At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Government approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding on Economic Cooperation between Bulgaria’s Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry and the Ministry of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Government Information Service reported. The memorandum will establish a framework for deepening bilateral economic cooperation and the exchange of experience and best practices in a number of areas.
On the Bulgarian side, the document will be signed by Alexander Poulev, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, while Saudi Arabia will be represented by Faisal F. Alibrahim, the Minister of Economy and Planning.
The memorandum is expected to help expand the exchange of information and expertise between the two countries in the economic sphere and encourage Saudi investment in Bulgaria. It will also create additional opportunities for establishing direct business contacts and developing partnerships between companies from Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia.
