The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Wednesday that due to strike action organized by trade unions, public transport services in Belgium will be severely disrupted on October 9 and 12. The Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company will warn of possible disruptions. Details of which routes will be running will be announced at 6 a.m. on the relevant days.
Train services will be restricted from 10 p.m. on October 11 until the end of the following day. The railway company SNCB will draw up an alternative timetable.
The Flemish local transport operator De Lijn has warned of serious disruption to services over the same days.
