The only way Bulgaria can keep its MiG-29 fighter aircraft operational is with Poland’s help, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said during an official visit to Warsaw on Thursday.
Radev expressed hope that this cooperation will continue and added that Bulgaria will also rely on Poland for the maintenance of its F-16 fighter jets.
Regarding European Union funding, Rumen Radev said Poland is an example of how EU funds can be used most effectively. The Bulgarian prime minister thanked his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk for sharing information and standards for the rapid and high-quality development of infrastructure.
The talks also covered the Carpathian Integration Initiative, also known as the Carpathian Eight.
